Walter Guth, M.D. has joined the physician staff of OBG-1, Southwest Louisiana’s largest provider of women’s healthcare services. Born in Lake Charles, Dr. Guth graduated from Barbe High School and Louisiana State University. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his internship and residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dr. Guth is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Medical Association.
“I’m glad I can raise my family here in Southwest Louisiana near family and friends,” he said. “It’s an honor to join the physician staff of OBG-1.” Dr. Guth will see patients at the Lake Charles and Moss Bluff office locations of OBG-1. He has also been granted medical staff privileges at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital, Surgicare and West Calcasieu-Cameron Hospital. He joins the current OBG-1 physician staff of Dr. Ben Darby, Dr. Scott Bergstedt, Dr. David McAlpine, and Dr. Matthew Scroggs.
